Safe Space Tanzania.

Safe Space for Children and Young Women Tanzania (Safe Space Tanzania) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization. It was established in 2018 and came to be fully registered under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania section 12(2) of Act No. 24 of 2002. Safe Space Tanzania is born out of a genuine desire to impact positively on the lives of adolescent, girls and young women (AGYW).

Our Mission

To address structural barriers that curtails the rights and freedoms of Children, adolescent girls and young women to education and the highest attainable standards of health.

Our Vision

Envisages an actualized Tanzania with safe, healthy and educated children, adolescent girls and young women participating in good governance and leadership pathway to sustainable national development.

Our Core Objectives

To create an environment where Children, Adolescent Girls and young women in Tanzania are free from all forms of violence.
To create an environment where Children, Adolescent Girls and young women enjoy their civic and human rights so as achieve their potential.
To seek comprehensive social and legal redress for Children, Adolescent Girls and young women victims of abuse.
To empower Children, Adolescent Girls and young women in political, social and health leadership, governance and accountability.
To promote economic empowerment to women and young women.
To provide legal aid, education, and counseling to the community.
